Engineering & Maintenance Business Controller

As Engineering & Maintenance Business Controller for the Western Region you will be responsible for the controlling & optimization of costs in relation to the Maintenance performed on Western Region fleet of leased and owned aircraft, as well as play a key leadership role within the Aviation E&M Finance Team.

ABOUT THE JOB

• Oversight of the general ledger activities in the region ensuring the costs in E&M are accurately captured;
• Liaise with the accounting team to ensure bookings are processed in line with expectations, support any troubleshooting with E&M, and ensure the balance sheet positions are adequate;
• Responsible for all E&M Capex within the various Western Region entities;
• Collaborate with other colleagues in finance to collate financial inputs such as maintenance reserves, stock, and people costs to provide a holistic view of all E&M costs in the western region;
• Ownership of the P&L Budget & forecasting for all E&M western region entities ensuring the latest forecast is kept up to date and tracked closely;
• Carry out variance analysis on the forecast vs actuals and budget;
• Generate, with support, business packs to present the financial performance of E&M in the Western Region to the E&M and Finance stakeholders and drive forward the E&M initiatives;
• Provide business partner support to the senior E&M leaders within the western region, includes supporting business cases and tenders with SM&P and continuous improvement within the processes;
• Work closely with E&M to ensure all costs are accurately captured relating to the base maintenance activities and assigned to the correct aircraft checks that take place;
• Oversee the invoicing process for both TUI internal work and external 3rd party work as well to ensure accurate and timely revenue management;
• Work with the head of E&M Finance and the H40 Management team to drive reductions and efficiencies within the operational cost base to improve the facilities productivity;
• Responsible for the recharging activities between the Belgium airline and the T4J maintenance entity;
• Key focal for providing all necessary data & information flows from and to the central reserves and E&M stock teams to ensure timely and accurate calculations can be done centrally;
• Responsible for ensuring that the Maintenance Reserve & E&M Stock calculations that are performed centrally for all airlines are booked correctly locally, and understood / validated;
• Business partner the Supply chain / logistics teams to ensure the commercial stock projects are well understood and supported from a finance perspective;
• Develop relationships with E&M and Finance and be recognised as the key lead for all E&M finance activities in the Western Region;
• Support the creation of the Part-M COE & Part-21 Design team for the group;
• Working within the aviation E&M finance team support the transformation activities and projects by playing role in collaborating across the markets to evaluate best practice and alignment opportunities.
• Aim to standardise and harmonise as much as possible the finance activities in Belgium & the Netherlands.
