Functieomschrijving

BelGan was a manufacturing facility for a famous integrated device manufacturer with products focused in automotive, industrial and medical applications. Now our vision is to become an automotive qualified leading GaN foundry in Europe. We are leveraging an automotive-qualified semiconductor fab, a highly skilled workforce in operations and R&D and a GaN Valley ecosystem in Belgium and Europe: imec, universities, customers and suppliers.

BelGan is currently looking for talent to strengthen the organization in several departments to reach it’s vision of building a GaN Valley in Europe.

The Equipment Engineer is responsible for the maintenance plan of a specific set of Fab tools. In this particular case for Etest Measurement tools and probers, and other Fab Measurement tools.

In a context where continuous improvement is a critical success factor, the equipment engineer is always looking for opportunities to make the maintenance plan more efficient and cost-effective, while guaranteeing the required equipment performance in terms of quality (measurement accuracy and repeatability), and availability. He uses statistical methods to make this assessment (MSA, tool matching,..).Evidently, there will be a close cooperation with the production organization and the engineering department.

The equipment engineer is part of Manufacturing and reports to the Litho Division Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Implements and documents preventive and corrective maintenance procedures
  • Follows up equipment performance (availability, quality, cost, MSA …)
  • Defines and executes projects to improve the tool performance, specifically on topics such as equipment availability (Uptime, MTBF, MTTR, OEE), quality and cost
  • Supports and trains a team of maintenance technicians working in shifts
  • Identifies root causes for complex equipment problems and implements solutions
  • Executes difficult corrective maintenance actions
  • Applies a cost effective spare part management
  • Supports a safe and clean working environment by using 5S+
Profiel
  • Master degree in electronics or electro-mechanics
  • Familiar with statistical analysis and LEAN manufacturing techniques (SMED, Kaizen, MSA …)
  • Motivated to achieve high quality standards
  • Strong attitude towards achieving results
