We are currently hiring a Factory service desk engineer L1-L2 for our client based in Ghent. We are looking for a dynamic person who wants to contribute and learn in a factory based support and monitoring position.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming calls from the factory
  • Provide investigation, diagnosis, resolution and recovery for production critical IT-related incidents. When unable to resolve, escalate to higher level in accordance with escalation processes.
  • Maintain overall ownership of user’s issue & service ensuring that they receive resolution within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Provide initial assessment of urgency and business impact on all support calls.
  • Record incident resolutions in Service Now.
  • Work with AM (Application Manager) for solutions to difficult application problems.
  • Manage spare part stock for quick replacements, and initiate purchases with Service Owner.
  • Identify to Purchaser any requirement for additional stock of equipment for use as spares.

Qualifications

  • Excellent in verbal, written communication, personal interaction skills
  • Strong problem resolution skills required
  • Can perform under stressful and stringent timelines with minimal help and ownership
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously and coordinate with users for timely completion
  • Flexible in working hours and shift rotation:
  • Morning shift starts at 5:15
  • Late shift starts at 14h
  • Night shift 22h
  • Prepared to work in fixed nightshift if needed
  • Prepared to participate in an on call rotation scheme during weekends
  • Strong customer focus
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate well with internal and external contacts
  • Proactive in learning, maintaining and sharing large volumes of information
  • Dutch and English: very good knowledge, both verbally and written
