MissionThe Benelux area is dedicated to the distribution of the CHANEL Fashion collections, Watches & Fine Jewellery creations and Fragrance & Beauty products in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Benelux is part of the European region.As Financial/Business Controller, you will join the Benelux Financial Planning and Analysis Department and play an active role in the management and development of our growing activity while contributing to our strategic and financial objectives.You will embody the global Finance mission which is “Be a trusted challenger to decision-making at Chanel, and an innovative support to business across the Company.”If you want a challenging job at the heart of a dynamic environment with strong evolution perspectives, this job is for you!Main ResponsibilitiesBUDGET & REFORECAST

• You are responsible for and work in collaboration with the Head of FP&A on all financials cycles (Budget, Q1F, Q3F, monthly forecasts, MTP) with a specific focus on F&B Retail. As such, you ensure these forecasts are accurate and timely reported, and are in direct and regular contact with the departments involved in the F&B activity.
• You oversee the forecasting and monitoring of Advertising & Promotion costs, Boutique Expenses, Corporate, PR and Training costs. You will proactively ensure related risks and opportunities are identified and shared with the department heads accordingly.
• You analyse Retail turnover per Point of Sale, as well as Wholesale sell-in and sell-out data per country and per retailer and E-Commerce turnover per country, and investigate potential variations from forecasts. You are responsible for periodic F&B turnover communications to Europe in collaboration with the Sales team.
• You take part in the elaboration of budget, strategic and ad-hoc presentations to Top Management with the Head of FP&A and the CFO. You also conduct analysis per distribution network and per client (e.g. P&L per retailer).
  

CLOSING

• In collaboration with the departments and with the Accounting team, you conduct all the financial closing cycles (monthly closing, quarterly closing, annual closing) and ensure financial data is accurate, true and reported in time in the information systems with a specific focus on F&B Retail.
• You analyse variances between forecasts and corresponding actual expenses. You share this information with the corresponding department heads to help in the decision-making process.
• With the Head of FP&A, you ensure provisions are calculated and integrated for year-end rebates, returns but also business recurrent or specific needs. You also work hand in hand with Accounting on tasks relating to external and internal audits.
  

PROJECTS

• You act as a business partner for retail teams for all topics relating to finance and stock operations. As such, you plan and lead annual stock counting operations with the Retail teams. You are also the direct contact for subjects linked to the European Retail Procedures and you ensure they are shared, understood, and applied by the Retail teams.
• You participate in the construction of Capital Expenditure Requests (CAPEX) for projects of opening, relocation, or renovation of owned Points of Sales.
• You contribute to automation and simplification internal projects (“Finance of the Future”) in collaboration with the rest of the FP&A team.
  

Profile

• Successful corporate first experiences: 4-5 years in Controlling, Audit, Financial or IT projects.
• Position opened in our offices in Brussels, Belgium or in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
• Periodic business travels to the Brussels or Amsterdam offices and in Points of Sales in the Benelux area.
• Graduate with a Master’s degree in Finance or Business school, University or Engineering with a joint course.
  

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in FRENCH and ENGLISH, Dutch is a plus.
• Proactive, dynamic and with a spirit of continuous improvement.
• Business understanding, strategical thinking.
• Positive & team oriented.
• Thorough knowledge of information systems, especially MS-Office and Excel. Proficient and curious about new IT technologies (PowerBI, PowerQuery…).
