About Our Client

For one of my client (transport sector), I am looking for a Freelance Chief Accountant to ensure accurate, consistent and on time monthly reporting. Work closely with the site controller to provide a true and fair view of the organizations current and future performance.

Job Description

Chief Accountant :

  • Ensure accurante, consistent and on time monthly reporting
  • Plan, lead and organize preparation of Budget, 3 Year Plan, and other financial forecasting activities
  • Investigate, audit and analyse financial or project information and make recommendations as required
  • Provide rates analysis as needed
  • Prepare, analyse and provide business/managers with adequate overhead analysis versus budget by cost centers - monthly
  • Prepare/discuss/present financial or project information to internal or external customers, as required
  • Coordinate and supervise audits (internal and external)
  • Ensure compliance with internal control policies
  • Ensure reconciliations are completed, reviewed and validated regularly
  • Identify, coordinate and implement process improvement initiativesReporting Manager :
  • Provide reliable and accurate reporting data, on time, both for site and headquarter management
  • Collect, consolidate, analyse and validate financial data in order to produce actual budget and forecasts, draw

conclusions on budget/actual variances and recommend corrective action

  • Ensure that the financial structure of the site, its processes and systems, are compliant with all internal and

external requirements.

  • Guarantee that internal control rules are correctly applied within the site
  • Interface and coordinate with project controllers, operations controllers to report and cascade information
  • Be a business partner to operational teams by proposing improvement and/or corrective actions on their scope
  • Participate in the change management initiatives (systems/application roll-out, organisational changes, …)
  • Manage the site reporting team (training & coaching, succession plans, …)

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
  • Knowledge in SAP desired, strong data warehouse experience
  • Enhanced excel experience desired
  • Coordination with shared service center experience desired
