Job Description

As a GaN Design Kit & Applications R&D Engineer:

you will be responsible for developing state-of-the-art PDKs (Process Design Kits), allowing our customers to design top-notch products in our GaN technologies.
you will develop leading-edge demonstrator-products, to test our technologies in demanding real-life application environments and demonstrate our technologies&devices and the PDK quality to customers.
you will set-up collaborations with some excellent R&D partners (such as universities) in this field, to innovate our PDKs and build leading-edge demonstrators. We are looking both for Junior and Senior engineers, to become technical experts and/or leading a small team of professionals.
Finally, as part of the applications support team you will closely collaborate with our customers, supporting them in the optimal use of our GaN technologies, and helping them being successful in their product development. As such, you will not only collaborate with the internal GaN device & reliability teams, to help improve our technologies based on customer needs, but also develop the tools and support to help our customers being successful.

Requirements

As a GaN Design Kit & Applications R&D Engineer:

You are a MSc or PhD in the field of semiconductor Process Design Kits (PDKs) and/or power-electronics circuits and applications. Know-how and experience with GaN technologies & products is an important asset, but any engineer with semiconductor device/circuit knowledge and strong interest in GaN devices and applications might qualify (training is planned).
You are a passionate, quality-driven professional with a ‘get-it-done’ problem solving attitude.
You are a strong team player, fully committed, responsible and accountable for your domain results (technical, milestones, cost).
You have an appetite for creativity and innovation, keep yourself acquainted of progress in research and industry in your field, with an open mindset embracing external knowledge e.g. through collaborations with top-notch universities and partners (‘open innovation’).
You embrace core values on respect and human equality (race, gender, …), are data/facts-driven, take initiative and are outspoken and persistent, but respect other opinions.
You are fluent in English
