Reports To: Sr. Global Marketing Manager

Department:Materials Analysis Division, Materials Science Business Unit

Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands

Position Objective:

The Senior Global Marketing Specialist plans and implements marketing campaigns for scientific applications, products and solutions using a customer centric, go to market approach. You will be a key contributor within the Materials Science marketing team. We drive demand for products and solutions used to structurally and chemically analyze and characterize various materials in academic research and industrial markets. We work within a highly matrixed organization to develop integrated multi-channel marketing plans and complete tactical projects to achieve marketing metrics and other annual operating plan objectives. You will partner up with product management and applications development to build and implement go-to-market strategies to support new product introductions, portfolio awareness and high growth vertical markets/applications, including audience segmentation and messaging, product/portfolio positioning, communication channel selection, and tactic execution. Tactics can include content development, digital/physical events, sales toolkits and channel marketing activities such as web page content, email, digital/print advertising, social media, and search engine marketing.

The ideal candidate will possess a balance of creative and analytical skills; able to work through the marketing planning process from initial business need to marketing plan and communications strategy and execution. This position interacts with varying levels of internal and external partners and requires the ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing. Possessing a hunger to have an impact, and desire to work in a “team first” environment, are critical traits to this role.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications

Experience:
  • Minimum five years of experience with developing and carrying out go-to-market plans, marketing campaign planning and program and tactic development
  • Ability to partner / influence in a matrix environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills as well as analytical, project management and planning skills are vital
  • Experience developing, implementing, tracking and analyzing marketing campaigns.
  • Marketing experience with technical / scientific products is helpful
  • Travel is required (~10%) and may be international
