The Most Important Contribution You Make To The Team

As Head of Retail Media & Trade marketing, you will contribute to drive the execution of the international retail media strategy on our omnichannel platform. In close collaboration with our international Retail Media teams you will help to define strategies, product development and equip the organization with the capabilities that will allow us to unlock all the potential of this new business model.

The role of the Retail Media team is to act as a bridge between the different media functions and the commercial teams. The team will bring excellence in retail media operations, help to build the foundational tech setup leading to increase media efficiencies and effectiveness for our industry partners. Furthermore, the Retail Media team will drive improvement of existing products, adoption of new products and strategies and will secure Retail Media performance and execution.

Task And Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the designing of the international Retail Media strategy for MediaMarkt within the broader consumer decision journey activation strategy.
  • Collaborate with external partners and inhouse teams (i.e. Criteo, Performance Marketing, Brand Marketing, Category Marketing) that will allow to drive the execution of the Retail Media strategy in a consistent, harmonized and efficient way.
  • Lead an efficient implementation of the Retail Media strategy and roll out of our target organizational setup.
  • Manage and coach a team of 7+ (Digital) Marketing professionals.
  • Collaborate with the international marketing & advertising functions to co-create integrated strategies for our suppliers.
  • Drive education and upskilling within Mediamarkt Benelux on Retail Media to secure traction, facilitate decision making and make Mediamarkt commercial teams experts in this fast moving environment.
  • Equip the organization with the tools and methodologies to operate Retail Media with a data driven approach creating the direct link between action and impact.
  • Share progress and best practices across the organization and drive a constant improvement plan around it.
Profiel kandidaat

You Are

You are proactive, energetic, open minded an a no nonsense team player with a healthy intellect. You also have above-average inquisitiveness and great affinity with online marketing technology. Your constantly strive for innovation.

What You Have To Offer
  • Master Degree in Marketing Management or Business Administration
  • 7+ years of experience in managing digital marketing professionals
  • Analytical, commercial and results-driven mindset
  • A passion for marketing technology
  • Experience with managing large media budgets
  • Language: excellent in Dutch, proficient in English and French. German is a plus
