What will you be doing as a MES Technical Expert?

• You will work in our MES Applications Team as an MES Technical Expert.
• You will be cooperating with the MES functional experts in the MES team and with engineers responsible for Automation and Technology processes.
• As input for what needs to be built, you will receive a handover of the functional System Blueprint document.
• You are also responsible for writing technical documents in understandable language for MES Application team / Automation and Technology engineers.
• You master one or more Wonderware modules or MES Technicalities such as: work order preparation, work order execution, OEE, Energy, data cap.
• You understand how the Technical concepts are technically built.
• Gradually you have in depth technical knowledge of the existing MES template solutions.
• You are responsible for unit testing of the developed solutions.
• You will report to the MES Team Lead and for project deliverables in dotted line to the MES business partners.

Do you have what it takes to become a MES Technical Expert?

You have:

• obtained a bachelor’s degree in industrial informatics, with or without experience, or an equivalent through experience.
• solid professional experience is nice to have but not required.
• excellent technical skills, meaning a strong affinity for technology and automation; being able to connect with PLCs and IoT devices is a must-have.
• a clear interest in MES software (shopfloor production process).
• understanding of operations processes as well as current technology.
• a solid knowledge of the English language.
• Team player attitude
• Having good communication skills and can work both independently and as part of a team to achieve results.
• You are able to document / configure those processes into our toolbox.
• Knowledge of Wonderware software package is a strong plus but not a requirement.
• You are willing to invest time to extend your MES knowledge through additional training and self-study under the guidance of the MES team.
