Function


As our Information Security Officer (ISO), you are part of the “Second Line of Barco Cyber Defense”. You help protect Barco’s computer infrastructure, networks and data through the establishment and enforcement of security policies. You report directly to the “Chief Information Security Officer” (CISO).


Key responsibilities


  • You ensure the security of Barco’s environment and help to design robust security architectures for any software projects.
  • You make sure we are (and stay) fully aligned with the ISO 270xx standards.
  • You provide guidance to the operational security team, our first line of defense (e.g. PKI, networking, ...).
  • You identify & detect security risks or integration issues within Barco, as well as with third parties.
  • You monitor controls and follow-up on performed penetration tests (within IT and R&D)
  • You respond to escalated security-related incidents and provide a thorough post-event analysis
  • You ensure system-wide disaster recovery plans and incident response plans.
  • You help to prepare cost estimates.
  • You stay up to date with the latest security standards, security systems, authentication protocols, ...
  • You drive awareness and oversee educational efforts to increase compliance to our security standards & procedures.


Qualifications


  • You hold a master’s degree in computer science engineering, information security or you have relevant experience.
  • You are familiar with (cloud) risk assessment, risk treatment, ISO 2700x frameworks and third-party auditing.
  • You have a good infrastructure and technology experience (Windows & Linux).
  • It would be great if you are no stranger to buzzwords such as: authentication technologies, role-based authorization, security attack pathologies, cryptography or perimeter security
  • You are preferably holder of certifications like ISC2 CISSP, ISACA CISM, ...
  • You have good English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • You can persuade and influence the business with your passion for security
  • You are a person of integrity and create security compliance by example
