Robert Half Talent Solutions is currently looking for an Investment Officerfor a permanent position based in Brussels.

Our client is a fast growing company active in theinvestment sector.

As a key member of the investment team, you will actively participate in the full investment process -execution, portfolio monitoring and exit, in close collaboration with the rest of the investment team (associates and directors).

As Investment Officer You Will Be Responsible For

Deal Execution
  • Perform research analysis necessary to qualify new investment opportunities;
  • Assist in the financial modelling of potential investment opportunities;
  • Assist in preparing the presentation of potential investment opportunities to the Investment Committee;
  • Assist in due diligence exercises (commercial, financial tax, legal etc) with external consultants;
  • Assist in the elaboration of investment memos and presentations.
Portfolio monitoring
  • Assist in the review of the reporting of monthly financial figures, budget and business plans;
  • Provide assistance to portfolio companies in their M&A strategy (sourcing, assistance in execution) or any other value creative strategic initiatives;
  • Assist in the drafting of the quarterly reporting memos sent to our Board.
The Required Profile For The Investment Officer Position
  • Master’s Degree in Economics, Business School or Commercial Engineering;
  • Minimum 1 year experience acquired in M&A/Finance (Investment Banking, Strategy Consulting or Big 4);
  • Very good command of English is a must; another European language would be a plus (namely Dutch);
  • Analytical, figure-oriented and some experience with financial modelling techniques (requiring a good command of Excel);
  • Communicative and team-oriented;
  • Result-oriented, rigorous, creative and able to take decisions;
  • The candidate will have the potential to evolve in terms of autonomy and responsibilities;
  • Hard-worker, self-motivated and reliable;
  • Sharp, driven and results focused;
  • Team player, down to earth and humble;
  • Versatile, able to adapt to a variety of situations;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Truly at ease and efficient in an international working environment. Although the candidate will be based in Brussels, he/she will be involved in working on investments across Europe;
  • Ambitious whilst loyal and willing to join a team for a long-term commitment.
