IT SAP Basis Engineer

Key Responsibilities


  • You will be part of the Infrastructure & Operations team that is responsible for ensuring the availability of our SAP ERP landscape
  • Financial backend systems Technical support
    • Monitoring and remediating issues on interfaces and background jobs
    • Maintaining Process orchestration layers (SAP PO, Cloud Process Integration)
    • Interfacing towards SalesForce CRM
  • Technical support on SAP ODS Datalake
    • Interfacing with backend systems
  • Assisting in Database management: Microsoft SQL server, SAP Hana
    • Maintaining databases to guarantee uptime and performance
      • Clustering and replication
      • Backup/recovery and DR testing
    • Security patching based on inputs from
      • Microsoft recommendations and patch releases
      • Reports from Vulnerability scanning tools
      • Alerts from 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC)
      • Inputs from the Security Office

Your profile


  • You have 3-5 years of experience as support engineer in a multinational company
  • You are passionate about security and improving the general security posture of Barco
  • You work organized and structured and are able to communicate results clearly
  • You are proactive, can work autonomously and have good problem-solving skills
  • You are a team player who is used to working in global teams and who is also able to work independently on assigned tasks/projects
  • Persistence in resolving issues with focus on details.

  • Knowledge of the following domains
    • SAP basis
    • Microsoft Active Directory
    • Microsoft Windows Server Operating system
  • Microsoft SQL server
  • SAP Hana
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken language

  • SAP basis certifications
  • Linux Server Operating system
  • CA Unicenter workflow manager (job scheduling)

Education


  • Bachelor degree in IT
  • University degree in IT (at least 4 year of formal education)
  • Engineering degree
