Our client, active in the Automotive Industry and located in the Flemish Brabant has more than 200 Engineers and colleagues working on the development, testing, prototyping and production of high-technology transmission systems and subsystems for high-performance top-of-the-line vehicles and sports cars!

• As IT SUPPORT ENGINEER, you will be responsible for the implementation, coordination and supervision of hardware, software, and telecommunication equipment onsite. By doing this, you ensure qualitative and timely delivery of this service to the different users in the organization.
• You shall maintain IT operating services under SLA, managing the IT assets onsite and align (local) requirements to standard tools and policies defined by IT KUO.
• You shall have a direct reporting line to the corporate IT KUO department in our company.
  
  

Key tasks

• Managing all hardware & software for the whole site (updates, lease expiration, replacement, maintenance, inventories, ...).
• First line IT support, guaranteeing the operation of devices.
• Advise and provide technical support to users, customers, and services.
• Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
• Install and maintain corporate IT tools (Antivirus, Software Control, etc.) in coordination with the IT team in Mexico.
• Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
• Define schedules of backups to be taken and support IT KUO´s vendor backup.
• Maintain & document IT and telecom network (switches, routers, hubs, IP, …).
• Supervision of the external service providers, perform technical coordination with the supplier to solve technical problems and ensure the installation of products.
• Archive data from test results and production machines.
  
  

Profile / Requirements

Profile

• You have a Bachelor or MSc in ICT, NMCT, Informatics, Computer Sciences with a passion for organizing.
• You can work independently and have good verbal & written communication skills.
• You have an analytical mindset, and you work in a structured way.
• You are communicative (Dutch/English/Spanish is a plus) and diplomatically trained.
• You have a good knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Knowledge of MySQL, SQL, and Windows Server desirable.
• You have experience with/in:
• MS Office 365 package installed both in the cloud and locally and SharePoint.
• Backup and archiving data. Knowledge of Veritas software is a plus.
• Setup & maintenance of Windows and Linux on real & virtual machines.
• Setup & configuration of commonly used applications, such as Active Directory, antivirus, anti-spam, and back-up systems.
• Expansion & migration of IT systems.
• Experience in the sector is a plus, but motivated starters are also eligible.
