Job Overview and Responsibilities

In direct collaboration with Head of Strategic Marketing of the Solvay battery materials growth platform and in close collaboration with the Corporate Communication & Sustainability teams, the successful candidate will work in an exciting and dynamic fast growing business environment, driven by the strong development of Electrical Vehicles. Our Battery Materials Platform’s mission is to accelerate the transition to e-mobility for a clean planet. He/she will demonstrate enthusiasm, commitment and high energy to support and optimize the communication strategy. Responsibilities include:
External communication
  • Events management (trade show sponsorship and attendance, conferences): you will ensure the success of our presence on external events (in person and virtual) and manage & coordinate all the aspects of each project from the beginning (logistics, development of related communication materials and databases, meetings)

  • Content editing: you will contribute / be responsible for researching and developing stories and of drafting reports, presentations, brochures, messaging documents, press materials, pitches and media outreach, designing visuals and preparing video support material and webinars.
  • You will research the communication strategy of players in the industry and design recommendations to optimize our strategy and maximize our impact.
  • You will be the contact point for the Platform with the Transportation Marcom team and work collaboratively to support the development of communication activities (social network, corporate events, media relations)
  • You will manage projects with Communication agencies and ensure right coordination, high quality in due time.

Internal communication

  • Ensure engagement, good coordination, execution and good information flow between all the relevant internal stakeholders on key projects

  • Communication support: you will participate in the development of information and collateral, in the creation of presentation materials, including slide decks, talking points, and speeches
  • You will develop new contents and develop communication materials (quotes, graphics, video, tutorial) for intranet, on-boarding, corporate communication.

Education and Experience

Master Degree in Communication or Business School

Person wishing to do a VIE for 12 months.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative capabilities, real team player
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English. French is an asset.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation design

  • Well organized, able to manage and deliver fairly complex project

  • Curious, strong willingness to learn in a Business to Business environment and take initiatives


  • Deadline oriented, ability to handle multiple tasks and complete work accurately and within a short timeframe.

  • IT and video editing sKills (Photoshop, Indesign, Adobe Suite,…) are an asset
