Foodpairing offers an AI platform for food product development to develop better products faster. This platform is also known as CFI (Consumer Flavor Intelligence) and is used by some of the major food companies in the world.

Foodpairing seeks a Food Scientist interested in product development and data analysis. In this role you will work on new food concepts using the different CFI solutions. You will work in a multidisciplinary team with data scientists, chefs, food scientists, and data engineers using some of the newest machine learning technologies to generate successful new food products.

Reporting within the Solution Delivery team, the Food Scientist is responsible for executing the product development on core optimisation and new line extensions. You will be responsible for concept generation and formulation. You will communicate directly with our clients. You will prepare and present the new concepts and the data-driven insights.

You should be a highly organized, strong communicator, and have a keen interest in food, new product development, and data.This role will be based in our Ghent office. If you’re looking to be a part of an inspiring, energetic and entrepreneurial environment, you’ve found the right place

Your Skills And Experience
  • A MS degree in Food Science, Bioengineering, Chemistry or Market Research
  • A passion for food and data
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to build strong trusted working relationships and rapport at all levels & demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets
  • You are excellent at planning and prioritization skills with the ability to multi-task and adapt.
  • Familiar with the activities in Marketing, Market Research and Consumer research
  • Optional: relevant concept to launch experience in a Corporate R&D setting.
  • Optional: experience in Python
