For our client in Deerlijk we are looking for a Junior onsite network engineer.

Job description:

- Previous experience in IT network administration and security positions preferred

- Additional certifications preferred, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

- CompTIA Network+

- Retain familiarity with various network types including LANs, WANs, WLANs, SDWAN and VoIP networks

- Understanding & management of firewall & Proxy i.e. FortiGate & Zscaler

- Increase job knowledge through continuing education and professional development opportunities, attend conferences, and read professional industry publications

Your profile:

- Open to being on call outside of regular working hours as well as occasional nights and weekends in the office

- Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to perform well under pressure

- Have high attention to detail

- Be a confident communicator

- Work well independently and in team settings

- Speaks Dutch & English fluently

- Has experience with Cisco & Fortinet products and network architecture (LAN, WLAN, internet breakout, firewall)

- Has experience with shopfloor environments (not a must have, but nice to have)

- That does not need constantly hands on activities but likes to troubleshoot and coordinate with external partners

- Valid driving license “Can travel to plants” different locations.

- You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies

- Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work

- Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management

- Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

- Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
