Synergy Sports , named by Fast Company as one of the world’s top 10 most innovative companies in sports, seeks talented Senior Machine Learning Engineers to join our fully remote engineering team.

This position offers tremendous opportunities to work with the only company that delivers on-demand professional-level basketball, baseball, and hockey analytics linked to supporting video to nearly 1500 pro teams, international, and college teams. Our systems are highly complex and contain petabytes of data and video requiring extremely talented engineers to maintain the scale and efficiency of its products.

As a member of the Synergy Machine learning team, you will contribute to the ongoing development of Synergy’s revolutionary Computer Vision and AI solutions. Some of the ongoing projects you will be involved are:

• Design AI solutions for Computer Vision based Products in Sports for teams and leagues all over the world
• Use your expertise in Computer Vision and Deep Learning to tackle exciting real-world Sports production problems
  
  

Synergy’s work environment is geographically distributed, with employees working from home offices. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a virtual office using online collaboration tools for all communication and interaction in English.

We are a globally distributed team and we work on an asynchronous model with flexibility of when and where you want to perform your job, while still being able to attend team calls and regular meetings. Personal initiative and a strong work ethic are highly encouraged and rewarded.

Note: This is a fully remote job and your physical location can be anywhere in Europe.

Requirements

• Have a PhD or Masters in Computer Vision, Computer Science, or related field
• Be passionate for creating innovative techniques, and making them robust and scalable
• Have (at least) 4 years of experience in applying state-of-the-art Computer Vision and Machine methods on industrial applications
• Be autonomous, a team-player with a positive mindset
• Be creative and innovation focused
• Excellent communication skills in English and ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Broad expertise in Computer Vision and Machine Learning (e.g., object detection, tracking, segmentation, image classification, 3D reconstruction, image and video processing, graphics rendering, etc.)
• Solid programming skills with Python and/or C/C++
• Previous experience in Tensorflow and/or Pytorch

• Experience with Linux/Unix operating system.
• Advanced usage of version control systems (e.g., GIT).
• Knowledge of existing models used in Deep Learning for Sports.
