About the Opportunity

A new interesting opportunity has become available within the Sanofi Genzyme team for a Medical Advisor Breast Cancerrole. In this role you will be accountable for implementing the country medical affairs plan and other key medical affairs initiatives within breast cancer in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, in alignment with the Oncology North Europe and global medical strategy, and according to the highest ethical and compliance standards.

In this role you will….

  • Ensure that all relevant team members possess high scientific level of expertise within breast cancer
  • Conduct internal and external medical education to enhance disease and product knowledge and awareness
  • Drive and coordinate medical and cross-functional breast cancer projects
  • Oversee and interpret new scientific data and publications, competitive trends and product opportunities and adjust medical and educational activities accordingly, as well as provide Input to brand strategy and execution
  • Drive, coordinate, support and ensure regular follow up of medical -, investigator initiated - and other research projects, including driving approval processes
  • Support to other countries as per need in the oncology medical affairs team within breast cancer
  • Ideally previous launch experience with successful relationship building
  • Identify, develop, and maintain collaboration and scientific exchange with current and future Key Opinion Leaders
  • Gather key medical Insights, interpret, and share these with internal stakeholders
  • Drive organization and implementation of Advisory Boards and other scientific meetings
  • Collaborate with the oncology medical team and the cross-functional brand team, nationally and across North Europe
  • Be a proactive partner for country commercial teams, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Public Affairs, and the Clinical Study Unit
  • Maintain an external, customer and patient centric focus in both strategy development and Execution
  • Participate in relevant congresses, symposiums, and other meetings
  • Drive development and execution of local Medical Affairs plan and launch readiness as well as local communication strategy in alignment with the Oncology North Europe medical strategy
  • Be a strong partner to the local Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Public Affairs and Clinical Study Unit, and provide continuous medical advice and training.

About you

Qualifications/ Education & work experience

  • At least Master level degree in medicine or other life science
  • Preferably a PhD degree within the area of oncology or cancer therapy
  • Preferably experience of real-world evidence
  • Therapeutic area experience either from clinical work, research and/or preferably from the pharma industry with relevant customer knowledge
  • Experience in communication with medical authorities, hospitals, physicians /specialists and KOLs as well as other healthcare sector professionals
  • Experience in interpretation and dissemination of scientific and clinical data
  • Ability to work well in both a team environment and independently
  • Strategic mind-set whilst being target-oriented and results-driven, with an understanding of short- and long-term goals
  • High initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coordinate, manage and prioritize in a busy professional environment
  • Balanced, yet structured, and fast in decision making processes
  • Working in a cross-functional team in an international environment
  • Business proficiency in local language and English
  • Visits as per need to clinics
  • Travel up to 30% of working time may be require d
