We want to help our customers to always get the most out of their TOMRA equipment. The identification and elimination of inefficiencies (“waste” in lean management speak) is imperative to achieving operational excellence in any industrial environment. TOMRA equipment is a key component of our customers’ production/processing lines, and it delivers a continuous stream of process and equipment data to our IoT platform, TOMRA Insight. We believe that this data can be leveraged to greatly improve the availability, performance, and quality of production processes at our customers organizations.

Job Description

We want to help our customers to always get the most out of their TOMRA equipment. The identification and elimination of inefficiencies (“waste” in lean management speak) is imperative to achieving operational excellence in any industrial environment. TOMRA equipment is a key component of our customers’ production/processing lines, and it delivers a continuous stream of process and equipment data to our IoT platform, TOMRA Insight. We believe that this data can be leveraged to greatly improve the availability, performance, and quality of production processes at our customers organizations.
  • Educate, advocate, and create a common understanding in the TOMRA organization on the topic Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and its benefits for our customers
  • Collaborate with customers to build/validate a KPI system for the identification of and a methodology for the elimination of operational inefficiencies
  • Specify and drive the implementation of related systems and frameworks in our IoT platform, TOMRA Insight
  • Enable our organization to consult with customers on eliminating inefficiencies from their processes using OEE
  • Benchmark operations at TOMRA customers aiming at best-in-class
  • Identify technical and organizational measures which can improve our products and services while helping our customers eliminate inefficiencies

Create new unique selling points and business models based on data and learnings

Qualifications
  • Proven track record for the theory and implementation of operational excellence / lean (six sigma) / OEE management initiatives in the process and/or manufacturing industry
  • Consulting experience is a plus
  • Customer centric mindset
  • Excellent teamworking and communication skill
  • Ability to communicate clearly across functions with different (technical) backgrounds
  • Hands-on attitude and not shy of taking the initiative
  • Willingness to learn something new every day
  • Strong in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
  • Flexibility to work outside standard office hours due to team members located in New Zealand, Europe, the US, and China
  • Willingness to travel (internationally) as needed to meet with customers and colleagues at other locations (est. up to 25%)
