仕事内容

The position is in the international optical design team of LVX division which is distributed over Belgium, Germany, India, and China. The main focus will be in the optical development work of our LED video wall products in which we target to create innovations with premium image performance, high reliability, user friendliness, and low carbon footprint. The position will be key to bridge between our own R&D work and partner R&D teams outside of Barco.

Key Responsibilities
  • You ensure the high end optical performance of our LED video wall products
  • You represent the optical development work in the cross disciplinary development team of our products
  • You will design secondary optics elements to shape light distributions by simulation and experiment along with Chip on Glass technology
  • You will create test setups and do the evaluation evaluate secondary optics
  • You will evaluate samples of partners and conduct in-house assessments of 3rd party products
  • You will line up with partners concerning production technology to realize our own designs
  • You will contribute to driving schemes and video data processing for further picture enhancements
  • As a technologist you will do close follow up of recent developments of display technologies that can be used for large video walls
  • As member of the optics team you will also support other members in optical tasks related to LCD, RPC technologies

Qualifications
  • You hold a Master or higher degree in physics, opto-electronics or equivalent
  • You already have a track in optical product development
  • You are familiar with up to date display technologies
  • You know the background of color theory and master the underlying mathematics
  • You have strong analytical, mathematical and conceptual thinking skills
  • You master supporting software tools like matlab and python and you are experienced with optical design software like lighttools, zemax, etc
  • As an international teamplayer you have good communication skills in English
  • As a self-motivated person you like to take initiative, to come with own proposals
  • You are open to travel inside and outside of Europe
