ST Engineering iDirect is a global leader in satellite communications (satcom) providing technology and solutions that enable its customers to expand their business, differentiate their services and optimize their satcom networks.

We are seeking a talented, experienced and proven OSS Integration Engineer that has a passion for systems integration, infrastructure and data management, automations, optimization and security governance. We need someone who has strong knowledge and a track record of enterprise level system integration with an OSS ecosystem, supporting communications networking infrastructure and critical customer services with BSS integration supporting and enabling service management.

The OSS Integration Engineer will provide a vital role in bridging systems, data, process and security management between OSS and BSS working within our IT organization. The candidate will be part of a team that will focus on supporting operational systems and data that supports customer services. A strong proven track record with extensive experience will be required to support changes and improvements from people, process and technology programs.

Specific Requirements

Enterprise service management platform experience in developing, integrating, implementing and maintaining large complex OSS ecosystems of infrastructure, systems, data, access, API’s, automations and security.
  • Customer management experience both external and internal ensuring the delivering value.
  • Data management experience developing, implementing and managing CMDB’s, data lakes/warehouses and API’
  • Leveraged various native service management platform integration capabilities.
  • Apply ITSM industry standards & best practices relating to service lifecycle management.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization of offerings.
  • Applied service & process automation activities internally & between systems.
  • Various system API integration expertise.
  • Network monitoring system management & integration experience.
  • High level of understanding of network setup, management systems and monitoring protocols. TCP/IP, SNMP
  • Worked with or awareness of various programming languages
    • JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Java, Ruby, Perl C#, SQL, NoSQL
  • Managed and maintained various system databases
  • Provide documentation, training & share knowledge with peers

  • Service management platform certification. (e.g. ServiceNow)
  • Enterprise network management certification or proven experience.
  • ITIL service management certifications or proven experience.
  • Agile Project management experience.
  • Experience in maintaining Cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
Education

BSc/BEng in Engineering, computer science or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications/training, or equivalent work experience.
