Your primary workplace will be located at the campus Leeuwstraat. Functie

Teaching :
Delivering courses in diverse and inclusive communication within the Bachelor of International Communication Management (ICM) program in English.
Creating engaging and practical lessons on cultural competence, social justice, and effective communication strategies.
Developing and delivering lessons on Communication Project Management and Client Relationship, including topics such as project management principles, effective communication strategies, and account management.

Student Guidance:
Guiding students in hands-on exercises, case studies, and projects to enhance their project planning and execution skills within time and budget constraints.
Providing insights and best practices for effective communication with project stakeholders, team members, and clients.
Facilitating discussions and activities to improve students’ understanding of client relationship management in the communication field.
Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages open dialogue and respects diverse perspectives.
Offering guidance and mentorship to students, assisting them in their personal and professional growth.

Professional Development and Collaboration:
Staying updated with industry trends and advancements in diverse and inclusive communication practices.
Collaborating with colleagues to develop and enhance the curriculum, ensuring its relevance and alignment with industry demands.
Assessing student performance and providing constructive feedback to facilitate their development.
Profiel
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
Proven expertise and professional experience in diverse and inclusive communication practices.
Extensive professional experience in project management and client relationship management within the communication industry.
Strong knowledge of project management principles, effective communication strategies, and account management.
Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate projects effectively.
Familiarity with industry-standard project management software and tools.
Strong understanding of cultural sensitivity, social justice issues, and the ability to effectively address them in a learning environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Previous teaching or training experience is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
Passion for promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Additional Information:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree is required (if obtained outside Belgium, approval by NARIC is necessary).
Proficiency in English at level C1 (certified by diploma or test) is required, or a willingness to achieve this level. Aanbod
The position is available from 1/9/2023.
Initially, a contract until 31/08/2024 will be offered, with the possibility of long-term collaboration.
The workload is 20%, which can be structured as 2x 10%.
Employment status: Teaching staff, statutory, determined duration. This position may qualify for conversion to statutory vacant hours or appointment, according to the applicable internal procedures.
Salary: 316 (bachelors degree = practical lector) or 502 (master = lector).
