Product Engineer - Leuven (Belgium) - Permanent Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Engineer who will join a dynamic & growing team in the semiconductor industry.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving current products and production processes, developing and implementing roadmaps for new R&D products, and handling complex customer requests.

This role demands a strong background in electronics and proficiency in Python scripting to effectively interface with R&D, enhance production capabilities and deliver innovative solutions to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current products and production processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement optimization strategies to enhance product performance, quality, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with the R&D team to understand new product specifications and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed roadmap for transitioning R&D products into full-scale production.
  • Design and validate production processes for new products, ensuring they meet quality and reliability standards.
  • Handle complex technical requests and issues from customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide expert technical support and solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are fully understood and met.
  • Maintain accurate records of product specifications, process changes, and improvement projects.
  • Present findings and updates to stakeholders and management.

Qualifications:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Some experience in a similar position is preferred.
  • Proven track record of improving production processes and product performance.
  • Strong background in electronics.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting for process automation, data analysis, and simulation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
