Key Responsibilities

EMEA Territories Support

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the CountryRegional application Leaders of the EMEAI Territories in terms of application escalations support, training requirements and support.
  • Coordinate with the local application Leaders on process, action plan and resourcing to provide proper customer support as required.
  • Coordinate with the Regional Segment Leaders on future applications needed to support the market
  • Act as the primary interface with the Segments for major new application developments.
  • Ensure all relevant information is dispatched to the FAS.
  • Act as the primary interface with the EMEAI Segment Leaders and Service Experts to share field experience, voice of the customers and voice of the field.

Technical Knowledge Management

  • SME provide feedback to the Learning Excellence Function and FAS Leaders on Technical Training requirements coming from the assessment on the field of current competences vs market trends and customer requirements.
  • Are responsible for the training execution for the products in own line of excellence and for ensuring FSE advanced preparation at the moment of NPI launch on the market
  • Where required, follow certification programs to formalize training knowledge level or serve as auditors for field competency assessments.
  • Regularly organize FAS team meetings, trainings, webinars to ensure field skills readiness.

Customer Experience and Business Focus

  • Application SME are problem solving strategic leaders and support FAS in demonstrating strong commitment and technical expertise to our customers; they focus on understanding their needs and SOPs (Service Operation Procedures) in order to position PerkinElmer’s laboratory services products to meet those needs. Periodically review economic conditions related to their specific lines of products.
  • SME are active in business proposition of new maintenance contracts, maintenance agreement, upgrades, training and instrument add-ons to existing contracts with the Service Sales Team. Motivate the FAS team to actively promote service products in their territories and make sure to promote updates and upgrades on their products of excellence by providing information to the SME Applications Leader.
  • Through a field partnership with FAS, they consolidate professional relationships with key customers and monitor potential client needs for services and/or products. Report opportunities to the Applications FAS Leader who will coordinate with Sales Representatives focused business actions.
