JOB SUMMARY

Because of our rapid growth, 3D systems is looking for a Production Manager. In the role of Production Manager, you ensure that the production orders for customers from the healthcare, aerospace and high-tech industry are realized in an efficient and qualitative manner, within the anticipated delivery deadlines. You report to the Director of Manufacturing and you manage a team of Machine and Process Operators and Maintenance Technicians via your supervisors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• As Production Manager, you will be responsible for the manufacturing operations (printing, post-processing, and maintenance), in terms of resources, staff, quality and delivery time
• You are responsible for the general coordination of the activities. You monitor the progress of production orders and take proactive actions in the event of potential delays/problems
• People management: You lead a team, you support and coach the supervisors. You are responsible for good qualitative and quantitative staffing levels and are involved in the safety and training of employees
• Continuous improvement: You ensure that manufacturing operations run as efficient and reliably as possible. You initiate improvement projects to optimize the organization and production processes. For this you work closely with the manufacturing engineer
• You ensure smooth communication and alignment with planning, manufacturing engineers and the various departments that work with the manufacturing department

PROFILE

• You obtained an engineering degree in electromechanics/mechanical engineering or another relevant degree
• You have leadership experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably within the high-tech manufacturing industry. Experience within aerospace, healthcare and CNC/mechanical operations is a plus
• Your style of leadership is characterized by an decisive and result-oriented attitude but with a clear eye for the individual & team
• You have knowledge and experience of continuous improvement processes (Lean Manufacturing)
• You are a problem-solver, analytical and have a good understanding of organizational management and operational processes
• You are dynamic, involved, and hands-on
• Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English
