The position is responsible for supporting executional requirements for the end-to-end inbound supply chain for a specific group of inbound materials in the direct sourcing area. It will provide operational excellence on a day-to day basis for a specific categories and will be the first line of commercial contact for our Olen factory in Belgium. The role works closely with the procurement sourcing associates to execute analysis, system requirements and process conformance. This role is the cornerstone to driving procurement category management.What are we looking for?
Responsible for a set number of categories in the region and provide support to the Operations Lead EU role in the Rice Category.
  • Analyze buying operations program metrics and provide analytic insight to buying category leadership.
  • Ensure continuity of the inbound supply of materials into product manufacturing locations through timely management of inbound quality requirements, including but not limited to forecasting and understanding supplier capacity
  • Partners with purchasing associates to assure purchasing contract accuracy, contract adherence and contract reporting
  • Supports new materials by collaborating with key business stakeholders to verify item set-up accuracy and follow-through in preparation for contract execution
  • Ensure execution of Strategic Sourcing Strategy as well as value leadership projects in 0-18 months
  • Ensure timely invoice management, reconciliation, and issue resolution
  • Deliver various reporting requirements
  • Deployment of category specific implementation projects
  • Focuses on optimizing inbound supply chains to eliminate future potential risks
What will be your key responsibilities?
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3 years of experience of demonstrated success in Supply Chain/Logistics or procurement, or Master’s degree with 2 years of experience of demonstrated success in Supply Chain/Logistics or procurement
  • Experience with supply chain management
  • Experience with procurement and/or procurement operations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, engineering, supply chain or related discipline with intern experience and intern experience in Supply Chain/Logistics or procurement
  • Competence in SAP Systems
  • Experience in analytics
Knowledge / Experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain
  • Analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritization
  • Strong customer focus and service orientation
  • Sound interpersonal skills and ability to be a team player
  • Computer skills - Excel, experience in SAP or other ERP systems is a plus
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred experience within FMCG
