Are you a driven professional in Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment (QHSSE)? Do you have a passion for renewable energy and do you want to contribute to the safety and efficiency of offshore wind projects? Then we have a challenging opportunity for you!

As the QHSSE Manager at Otary, you are responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the QHSSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment) policy within our organization and for our offshore projects. Working closely with your team, you collaborate with various departments within Otary to ensure that we meet the highest standards in quality, safety, and environmental practices

Some of your key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing the QHSSE policy and associated processes in line with the established vision within the organization.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable Belgian laws and regulations, as well as standards including ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001.
  • Coaching and managing a team of 4 QHSSE professionals.
  • Coordinating audits and inspections.
  • Actively participating in the development of industry best practices in collaboration with overarching organizations in the business context.
  • Identifying risks and implementing preventive measures to ensure the safety of our personnel and environmental protection.
  • Regularly reporting to the executive team.
  • Monitoring and evaluating compliance with QHSSE standards during operational activities.
  • Initiating efforts to promote and enhance safety awareness within the organization.
  • Acting as a constructive link between our company and our major subcontractors.
  • Conducting offshore visits and supporting the practical implementation of regular emergency drills.

You are the perfect candidate for us if:

  • You have a at least 10 years of experience in a similar role
  • You have accreditation of Prevention Advisor level 1
  • You are a driven people manager and you have experience with the set-up of ESG, ISO certification, …
  • You are GWO-educated or open for training
  • You speak fluently Dutch and English
