Main aspects in this new and dynamic role are the initiation, planning and realization of state of the art material formulations and composition-related sustainable board technologies in line with the i4F strategy in adjacent technology development. Contributing to the product and technological strategy of i4F in the field of Board Composition and Process Technologies.

• Initiating, budgeting, planning, executing, coordinating and realizing complex research, product and technology development projects, thereby creating competitive advantages or generating new business opportunities for i4F.
• Establishing contacts with research institutes and external companies to assure access to new developments.
• Help setting-up a state of the art material compositions and performance testing lab.
• Executing and operating trials and small scale productions in the state of the art i4F development lab that includes board extrusion equipment.
• Creating an external network in order to execute project work in an effective way.

Functie-eisen

You have an academic degree with a technical background in material science, (polymer) chemistry, or chemical engineering. With experience in technical development work in area of polymer comprising compositions, formulations and composites. And you have the ability to think creatively and communicate technical ideas effectively in both technical and non-technical environments.

• Independent and proactive with the ability to identify and lead opportunities and projects.

• Open and out of the box thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit, problem solver with a pragmatic and hands-on mindset.

Traveling on occasional basis is required for this job.
