The Regional Direct Account Manager will focus on a few of the company’s large or very complex customers within a designated geographic territory or market. In this role, you will handle critical or complex products that require excellent client relationship skills to maintain competitive positioning.
Key Accountabilities
- Understand and apply BE/NL market dynamics, customer needs, competitor intelligence and consumer behaviors and build and maintain critical relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Develop a plan to establish and maintain account relationships and meet personal sales targets.
- Build a business plan for each account.
- Coordinate use of resource (e. g., technical, sustainability, advertising) to provide value added services to accounts.
- Develop strong client relationships that provide significant input to planning product, price and service strategies.
- Support supervisor and other sales professionals in developing new market opportunities in the designated territory or market.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of related work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Traveling up to 25-30% of the time
- Food and B2B experience
- Experience of working in a matrix organization
- Minimum of 3 years of account management experience
- Master degree (economic or food sciences is an advantage)
- Good communication, negotiation and prioritization skills
- Result driven, eager to learn and resilient
- Location Mouscron is preferred. Schiphol Netherlands is considered if Belgian knowledge and willingness to frequently travel to Belgium is present.
