Responsible for developing one or more technology innovation objectives of moderate scope. Definition and execution of research tasks to implement this objective in internal projects or as a well-defined part of a project with external partners. Focuses on high-quality results within an agreed timeframe including assessing the contribution to the innovation objectives. Scopes the technological field for solutions and partners. Contributes to defining research projects with external partners and/or external funding, interacting with these partners for specific proposal, execution and reporting tasks within the boundaries of an agreed framework. Presents research results at scientific events and technical project meetings. Represents the company at operational project meetings. Supports internal product development and service teams with transfer of research results to enhanced/new solutions. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction with latitude for independent judgment. Works under supervision of more senior engineers to define global research objectives, select research methodologies and make project management decisions. Moderate skills with high level of proficiency and technical expertise in specific technology fields with the ability to understand the application context with customers. Coaches junior level researchers and defines work program for visiting research fellows and students
