For our second, new to be opened restaurant in Brussels, we are currently looking for a Restaurant Manager to lead all aspects of our business. It’s about inspiring and motivating your team to achieve amazing results and excellent customer service. Your responsibilities include maintaining the restaurant’s revenue profitability and quality goals. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as high production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards. You work together with the Assistant Manager and co-manage your team. We’ll expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and customers have a pleasant dining experience.

The Avocado Show was founded in 2017, and - what’s in a name - creates pretty healthy food made with/from avocados. With over 150.000 followers on Instagram, restaurants in the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and many more countries to come, and the avocado being named the most popular fruit last year - we are well on our way to take over the world and share our pretty healthy food with everyone!

What will you be doing?

• You will be coordinating daily restaurant management operations both Front of House and Back of the House, working closely with the Head Chef.

• You manage the restaurant employees by coordinating shift planning, training employees, guiding and supporting them where necessary, being their point of contact, appraising their performance, providing feedback to improve productivity, organizing team meetings etc.

• You, together with your team, deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction and respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints.

• You create detailed reports on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis, analyzing revenues and expenses - and in that way control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.

• You ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations in accordance with HACCP.

• You implement The Avocado Show policies, protocols and guidelines.

• You make sure drinks and food are prepared following the company’s standards and guidelines.

• And last but not least, you regularly review product quality and search for new vendors.

What do you bring to the table?

• You are full of energy and have a positive attitude that is contagious.

• You have proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager or a similar role.

• You are able to execute staff planning and have financial controlling, organizing and leadership skills.

• You thrive in a pleasant chaos and like to create order in stressful situations.

• You have a hands-on mentality and an MBO/HBO educational background (or experience level). Hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus!

• You are flexible in working hours, which means you will also be working during evenings, weekends and holidays.

• You have extensive food and beverage knowledge, with the ability to memorize ingredients and dishes to detail.

• You have a professional and service-oriented attitude with an eye for detail.

• You are a strong communicator and know how to motivate and lead a team.

• You LOVE this brand and have clear motivation to be a part of it.

• You are able to communicate clearly in English (additional languages are a plus).
