A well-known international FMCG company is on the lookout for a Senior Accountant to support their finance team in Antwerp for a one year assignment. Thanks to your experience, you will be the perfect addition to the company.

The Senior Accountant Will Be Responsible For
  • Proactively provide advice, analysis and financial information to Managers to assist with decision making and optimisation of results.
  • Assist the Head of Finance in collecting and reporting on KPI’s.
  • Coordinate, liaise and assist the Region’s management team for overhead and capital expenditure budget preparation.
  • Prepare financial forecasts/budgets for review by the Head of Finance and the Regions Management team.
  • Provide Treasury with cash flow forecasts, integrally linked to the Region’s forecast, sufficient to meet their needs.
  • Ensure phased budget sales, costs and forecasts are uploaded and maintained in SAP.
  • Support the company’s various administrative cycles as required, including; preparation of papers for and attendance at meetings,
  • Oversee internal and external financial reporting and accounting, including taxation
  • Assist with the internal and external audit process.
  • Prepare the work papers supporting the financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS and regulatory rulings.
  • Liaise with local External Audit practice to ensure smooth and accurate audit is completed.
  • In conjunction with management, ensure that commercial arrangements in place are appropriately governed and managed on a day to day basis.
  • Drive the continuous improvement/ development of core accounting systems and reporting modules.
  • Ensure all systems are fully documented and that satisfactory internal controls are in place.
Profile Of Ideal Senior Accountant
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in accountancy, coupled with 5 years’ experience in an international FMCG or distribution company
  • Solid tax understanding
  • Experience in SAP
  • Fluent in English
  • A strategic thinker that fits in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong analytical skills with understanding of various forms of information to aid good judgement and decision-making
