As part of the Quality and Risk Management (QRM) team, you will be supporting the Consulting practice in Belgium. The main goal of QRM is to improve the quality of services to our clients at an appropriate cost level, through prevention and mitigation of opportunity and engagement risks.

The QRM team consists of 2 key pilars: Quality and Risk. You will be part of Risk with 3 other team members.

Your role and responsibility will be to:

  • review, draft and negotiate client and supplier contracts;
  • working with practitioners to provide guidance on project approach from a contractual perspective, identify risks and ensure appropriate risk strategies are in place;
  • interact on a daily basis with practitioners on a variety of topics (e.g. business risks, proposals, contract templates; GDPR; proposal review…);
  • stay abreast of legal and technological developments, e.g. GDPR/SaaS/Cloud, etc.;
  • develop and maintain contract templates and update templates where required;
  • act as a business partner and trusted advisor to practitioners providing sound business/legal judgment with ability to balance business objectives and risks, and resolve complex problems in a high-output, fast moving environment;
  • assist in the development and delivery of QRM training.

Let’s Talk About You

Education and experience:

  • Master degree in Law;
  • 1-5 years of experience as inhouse counsel or attorney at a reputable law firm; knowledge of contract law is a plus; experience in the IT/professional services industry would be an asset but not a must.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in French and English is a must; Dutch would be preferred/ Any other language would be a plus;
  • Excellent writing skills (French and English), especially contract drafting is important;
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthetize;
  • Willingness and capability to be a “hands-on” lawyer, to analyze and solve complex issues with a pragmatic, proactive, energetic and enthusiastic approach;
  • Ability to understand priorities, self-reliant and self-responsible, know to seek help when needed;
  • Being a good team player, reliable and, flexible is key as well as ability to build good relationships in an international environment with various stakeholders.
