Keep on reading because an international health care company, located in Leuven is looking for a Senior Controller to oversee the financial duties of legal entities of different locations in Belgium. With your experience in both leadership and individual contributor roles you will be the perfect match.
Your tasks as Senior Controller:
- Stimulate teams in collaboration in various projects and initiatives
- Supervise team of 5 people
- Develop back-up possibilities between Belgian staff and respective sites
- Give general support and guidance to the local finance team within EMEA
- Coordinate the monthly US GAAP Close and Reporting process, including financial statement review, trial balance review and reconciliation activities
- Generate and execute recommendations to enhance financial reporting, business process improvements, and the standard month-end close process
- Assist in compiling effective monthly financial and management reports
- Make sure Delegation of Authority guidelines are applied and adhered to
- Coordinate implementation of internal controls
- Follow up DSO/DPO metrics and propose working capital improvement initiatives
- Support Order to Cash process improvements and implement proper internal control procedures
- Support Purchase to Pay process improvements and implement proper internal control procedures
- Oversee compliance activities to include statutory audits, tax reporting
- Ad hoc special projects
Profile:
- University degree in a relevant education
- 10 years’ experience in accounting and financial reporting in a medium to large sized international company
- Leadership/supervision skills with a natural ability to engage and motivate others
- Experience with accountancy software, ERP systems and knowledge of JD Edwards is a strong plus
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical insight to improve various aspects of accounting and processes
- Always focused on the improvement of the business togethers with the team and across the organization
