Robert Half Talent Solutions is currently looking for a Senior Controller (m/f/x)for a permanent position based in the South West of Brussels.

Our client is a fast growing company active in the energy sector.

As Senior Controller (m/f/x) You Will Be Responsible For

  • Focus on value creation at the operational, financial and fiscal level, through reporting/controlling and presentation of relevant operational/financial metrics;
  • Translate a deep understanding of both the business and financial modelling into financial implications of decisions and financial returns of projects;
  • Perform ad-hoc and/or regular profitability analyses on more specific and complex business scenarios of the existing and future businesses, in order to continuously adjust business strategies;
  • Assist in the budget and forecasting process, monitor variations vs the business plan, challenge the business by testing the assumptions of their business plan;
  • Monitor both the short and long-term financial key aspects (cash planning, financing needs) of the company to support the upcoming investment plans in sustainable energy projects;
  • Prepare periodic financial presentations and reports for the relevant stakeholders (management team, shareholder meetings, banks, other stakeholders);
  • Participate and contribute actively to continuously improving reporting, controlling and planning processes;
  • Coordination of the ERP implementation and other finance transformation projects.

The Required Profile For The Senior Controller (m/f/x) Position

  • A Master’s degree in Finance or related field;
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the energy business;
  • You have the ability to understand complex businesses;
  • You have a good understanding of the relevant financial, fiscal and regulatory aspects and are able to model the associated implications on the ability of the business to generate value;
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
  • Excellent communication skills (both with the rest of the team and management);
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and relevant controlling software;
  • You speak and write fluently in Dutch and English.
