Senior Demand & Inventory Planner

Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior Demand & Inventory Planner for our Supply Chain team at Nespresso, located in Brussels.

As a Senior Demand & Supply Planner, your role is to drive the demand and supply plan to ensure that finished goods are available, meet customer demand, at the right stock location and with high freshness, whilst minimising costs. Optimize the full Supply chain in starting and execution of projects in own organisation or at third parties, together with the Supply Chain Manager.

A day in the life of a Senior Demand & Supply Planner

Drive the Demand & Supply Plan on Coffee, Machines, and Accessories (B2C, B2B):

• Develop and implement the Demand and Supply plan by applying best practices, improving processes, analysing sales history and forecast data
• Liaise with Marketing and Commercial (B2B, B2C) in order to understand if all necessary launch or phase-out informations have been correctly considered in the Demand & Supply plan.
• Ensure that inputs from Marketing and Sales events, consumer & competitor information, other external / internal trends and influences which impact demand are captured on the 18 rolling months forecasts plan.
• Build the demand plan for a 18 month horizon by analysing sales history, developing expertise on coffee market and consumers, collecting and analyzing products and market events and challenge the hypothesis
• Monitor and manage stocks at risk- Consistently improve Demand Plan Accuracy (DPA accuracy level and variability) and drive out systematic forecast bias through process improvement and problem solving activities
• Focus on Demand & Supply plan on Coffee, while coaching the Supply & Demand Planner on the DSP for Accessories and Machines
  

Lead & Support Supply Chain Projects:

• Manage supply chain-related projects from initiation to execution by developing the project planning and employing appropriate project management approaches, processes, and tools
• Ensure projects are delivered according to budget, schedule and scope by providing status reports, raising key issues and risks, determine mitigating actions, and completing financial monitoring and reporting
• Manage internal and external stakeholders, including facilitation of stakeholder communications
  

What will make you successful

• MSc/MA level in Supply Chain Management or any other relevant field for the role
• 3-5 years Experience in Demand and Supply Planning / Supply Chain management and/or Warehousing with a high quality consumer centric mindset (experienced preferably in a high end luxury brand or FMCG)
• You speak French and / or Dutch, with a professional level in English
• Preferrably experienced and Certicied in LEAN Six Sigma methodology
• Experience in managing projects
