Purpose:
The Senior IT Program Manager will be responsible for delivery of high priority, high complexity, multi-region or enterprise-wide IT initiatives which carry significant impact to the organization. He or she will manage full lifecycle of projects and programs that deliver IT enabled solutions at the speed of business, to drive competitive advantage in the marketplace. Position will partner with all business, functional, and IT organizations and teams to initiate, plan, execute and ensure successful completion of projects and programs commenced either by IT or business organizations. Initiatives will be critical in nature and comprise of multiple tracks or sub-projects. This role will be leading global, diverse, cross functional project teams to effectively deliver wide scope of projects and programs in the IT portfolio. This role will integrate definition, requirements, schedule, budget, scope, project documentation, resource allocation, execution, deployment, and administrative closure to ensure the program is on-time, on-budget, and meets the objectives as well as achieve benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accountable to ensure the successful initiation, management, and delivery of IT programs of all types. Some being business driven and IT enabled, others being IT service based. All with the intent of improving our commercial and/or operational effectiveness and as such, the competitive advantage of the company in the marketplace.
  • Includes managing all aspects of the program delivery process including: defining the program governance and controls, planning overall program, creating and managing schedules, monitoring and reporting progress, planning, building, managing and controlling program cost and benefits, managing risks and issues and taking corrective actions, coordinating across tracks/sub-projects, managing stakeholders and communication, leading change management
  • Accountable for ensuring each initiative in scope of program is managed according to project delivery process including: business case and requirements definition; solution alternative evaluation and selection; business process design/redesign; supporting application design/redesign and configuration/development, testing, change management, communications, training, deployment and sustain plans and implementation.
  • Facilitation and practice of program delivery, where sub-projects may be utilizing multiple methodologies (waterfall, agile, iterative, etc.)
Key Accountabilities:
  • Know, understand, and lead full program lifecycle
  • Identify and communicate to stakeholders throughout the life of the projects and/or programs, including executive level management. Escalate when appropriate.
  • Define, manage and control program governance including definition of roles and responsibilities
  • Create program structure by breaking down program into tracks and/or projects, assign leaders, manage and coordinate interdependencies
  • Build teams by provisioning the appropriate resources from organizations, transforming individuals from various organizations into an integrated and effective working unit.
  • Manage cost, scope, risk, and issues associated with program delivery
  • Create and monitor complex schedules, ensuring integrated project plans and cross-project dependencies are managed closely
  • Work across multiple teams/organizations to reach consensus, resolve issues, drive for results, and achieve high quality, on-time results while managing throughout the project life cycle.
  • Manage, monitor, and report program progress
  • Execute the program management processes independently and efficiently with highest level of quality
  • Provide technical leadership on complex projects and quickly adapt technical skills to new functional areas and applications.
  • Mentor and consult other project managers/track leads on the key activities and deliverables of a project life cycle
  • Exercise leadership skills and competencies for people motivation, development and team management

Knowledge and Experience:
  • BS or BA in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field
  • 8 – 10+ years of experience managing and leading projects/programs in the information technology field supporting solution delivery for large enterprise projects
  • 12 – 15+ years of Information Technology experience
  • 3 + years of experience indirect or direct leading of team members, and experience with leading cross-functional and distributed teams
  • Project Management Professional (PMI PMP), Program Management Professional (PMI PgMP), Agile or similar certification
  • Understanding of IT frameworks, standards and models
  • Experience in using project management software tools for project planning and communication
  • Experience managing large, cross-organization programs and teams consisting of multiple projects or tracks on large, global initiatives utilizing a standard, formal project methodology.
  • Skilled in developing project documentation such as scope definition, work breakdown structure, organization breakdown structure, project plan, schedule, budget, and risk management
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to influence, persuade and negotiate
  • Fluency in English, Portuguese, and other European languages preferred
