YOUR ROLE

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you focus on incorporating ‘intelligence’ into our proprietary technology. One of your main projects is the development of a first algorithm to improve our research, by suggesting questions researchers can ask. In addition, we are looking to develop a second algorithm, aimed at distilling insights from large amounts of research data.

You analyze large textual databases and utilize natural language processing techniques, to create solutions that ensure optimal insight collection. You work with a team of motivated data scientists that thrive to develop automated solutions, giving users access to complex techniques. Your role in the team is to assist in the development of our NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) techniques, as well as techniques such as neuron networks.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Work efficiently with large databases

· Develop customized data models and algorithms to apply to data sets

· Communicate clearly and coherently (orally and in writing) with colleagues about data needs, and report results

· Use NLP techniques to optimize the analysis of large textual databases

· Utilize deep-learning techniques such as ANN and RNN to create predictive text solutions

· Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality

· Coordinate model implementation with different functional teams, and monitor the outcomes

· Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy

· Ensure all solutions are focused on automation and scalability rather than one-off cases

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for an experienced colleague with 5-7 years of experience in manipulating data sets and building statistical models, with a Master’s or PhD degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field. You are proficient in English (oral and written), and are familiar with the following tools:

• Knowledge of and experience in statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/ Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis, etc.
• Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: R, Python
• Experience creating and using advanced machine-learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modelling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
• Experience with visualizing/ presenting data to stakeholders
