We help CFOs & CEOs to become business partners and to engage on strategic development to support their operational business by improving the business value and operations of their Finance functions.

Our CFO Advisory Services team is looking for a Senior Manager to expand its team and further support CFOs with improving their Finance function, with a clear focus on the Insurance market.

Tasks and responsibilities

Project management:

  • Manage the preparation, delivery, and evaluation for CFO Advisory
  • Services projects and higher risk projects;
  • Manage teams to execute projects;
  • Assist clients with practical recommendations and leading practices to improve business and finance processes.

Commercial management:

  • Build, develop and cultivate strong business relationships and strategic relationships with stakeholders of existing or new clients;
  • Support KPMG business development, from lead identification to the presentation of pitches and proposals;
  • Show technical and operational leadership to deliver quality and client-centric solutions;
  • Present reports to Executives in consultation with Partners and/or Directors and enable client to make informed decisions;

People management:

  • Identify the development needs of the team and provides coaching and stretch assignments to challenge, develop and retain our most talented colleagues;
  • As a performance manager, motivate, train, and coach team members to maximize the achievement of their potential.

Skills & Qualifications

  • In possession of a master’s degree and have ten to twelve years of experience in financial management consulting, with a clear focus on insurance.
  • Deep understanding of the insurance value chain and related processes.
  • Familiarity with topics such as Finance Transformation, Financial Reporting, and Accounting, Solvency II, IFRS17.
  • Previous experience with tools and systems used within the Finance function (e.g. ERP, software for accounting, planning, reporting, RPA / automation software).
  • Previous experience with managing teams.
  • Attaches great importance to delivering high-quality work, respect deadlines, and have a professional critical
  • In possession of strong soft skills like being stress-resistant, flexible, client, and service-minded and can work in teams.
  • Contribute to review(s) on completion of projects to identify lessons learned and enhance future quality and commercial planning.
  • Provide and build advanced technical insurance knowledge, direction, and training to others and participates in team practice decisions such as resource allocation.
  • Execute projects to a level that meets KPMG’s quality standards within a commercial context.
  • Have a multidisciplinary point of view over different competencies, clients, and solutions.
  • Advocates innovation both within KPMG and with clients, by gathering and providing insights and a point of view about how marketplace disruption will impact the client’s business, and being able to bring an innovative mindset and solution.
