Senior Software Engineer with Expertise in C/C++ and Real-Time CommunicationWe are currently seeking a highly skilled senior software engineer with 8-10 years of experience in software development, particularly in C and C++. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building real-time communication applications, with a strong focus on SIP and websockets.As a senior software engineer, you will be collaborating with a global team, communicating complex technical ideas and concepts, and writing technical documentation. Therefore, the ability to communicate effectively in English is essential for success in this role.About the team:The BT Trade engineering team provides an end-to-end unified communications solution for trading floors. Our team of highly skilled engineers we are building the hardware, software and networking for a complex real time communications platform. You will be working with a team of software engineers to build the core application logic for the trading solution. You will be helping with the architecture, design, development and testing of our mission critical application.Job location:Liege, BelgiumKey Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain real-time communication applications using C and C++
  • Implement features and enhancements that ensure scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 8-10 years of experience in software development with expertise in C and C++
  • Extensive experience building real-time communication applications
  • Expert knowledge of SIP and VoIP
  • Experience with websockets
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and algorithms
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
