Ihre Aufgaben

The role involves learning and developing standard controls software for mobile robotics applications, Autonomous Guided Vehicles, PLC and other real-time/embedded controller platforms.

As part of an international and multicultural team within the software development organization, you will be responsible for delivering this software for our global customers, in partnership with our product management, application engineering and customer service groups.

As a Vehicle Software Engineer you are responsible for the design and implementation of the on-board software, which manages the complete behavior of the truck including navigation, driving & lift movements.

  • You are involved from start to finish of the process — from the refinement of requirements through design & implemention of the solution to testing, validation and documentation. You collaborate with mechatronics, safety, production, testing and customer service colleagues internationally.
  • You support the product validation team which is responsible for testing the functionalities of the application you developed and the application engineers who commission your application at our customers facilities.

Ihre Qualifikationen

Preferably you’ve got some years of relevant experience in your back pocket, together with your programming experience in C/C++. Next to that, you have a more than basic knowledge of embedded software and real time operating systems. Interest and a first touch point in Git and Linux are a strong plus. On top of that, you have a strong interest in motion control, automation or robotics.

Needless to say, you’ve got a degree in engineering, computer science or a similar field. And then you’re also…

  • A great communicator, keen for open-minded discussions.
  • Flawlessly fluent in English. And if you master Dutch, that’s a plus.
  • Basic knowledge and interest in controls & hydraulics is necessary.
  • Eagerness to take up your piece of responsibility within the team.
  • Ok with traveling abroad for work.
