Software Tester

We currently have a vacancy for a Software Testerfluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated and closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks:

• Participation to development team’s meetings (e.g. stand up meetings);
• Interaction with development team (project manager, business analysts, and developers) to understand the testing mandate and scope;
• Definition of test plans. Definition of test cases. Construction of test scenarios and scripts;
• Tests coordination and execution;
• Documentation and reporting of test results;
• Knowledge sharing with other testers: sharing of tester’s knowledge and experiences; discussing and improving testing strategies, objectives, reporting;
• Possible assistance with 2nd level support.

Requirements

• University degree in IT or a related field and minimum 6 years of experience in IT analysis;
• Experience in information system testing, including definition of test plans and test cases;
• Experience with different types of testing, testing strategies, objectives;
• Experience with tools used for managing testing, e.g. of definition of test cases in JIRA;
• Experience with testing on different internet browsers;
• Experience with testing web-services / interoperability;
• Experience with incident management tools;
• Information system testing;
• Agile development methodology;
• The consultant has to be fluent in English. Very good communication / writing skills in English.
