Position

You manage procurement activities for the category ‘Indirect goods and service contracts’ (i.e. contractor & technical services, temporary jobs, IT services, maintenance jobs, waste management) for the Vynova sites in Tessenderlo, Beek and Mazingarbe. You optimize internal services, create saving opportunities and build sustainable partnerships with internal & external partners. You control and manage safety working for contractors on site.

• You manage expenditure on assigned items and services in our Tessenderlo and Beek sites, in accordance with the procurement strategy. You offer support to the Mazingarbe site for their main contracts related to the dedicated categories.
• You act as Lead Buyer and the primary contact for other departments within the organization for the designated area of work. You make purchases according to their needs. You communicate and manage between the internal parties involved to meet quality execution and cost efficiency.
• You ensure that important and/or complex indirect goods or services can be procured on the best possible terms (price, quality, delivery and payment terms), by preparing surveys, selecting suppliers and negotiating purchases. You draft and manage contracts. You closely work together with the tactical buyers and you support and coach them. You follow up contracts regarding quality, scope, safety and invoicing.
• You follow up and manage claims in cooperation with internal customers. You communicate and process them in line with Vynova’s Policy, you handle the commercial negotiation and final closing of the claim, if necessary supported by a Legal Advisor.
• You build relationships with suppliers and follow up commercial opportunities to permanently improve the cost efficiency of procurement processes and existing contracts. You coordinate between the supplier and internal customer to avoid misunderstandings that can impact safety, results and prices.
• You organize and monitor the purchasing process within the purchasing department to provide an efficient and effective service.
• You continuously develop in the field of purchasing to keep pace with market evolutions.

You coordinate and improve supplier safety results and performance at the Vynova site through annual supplier reviews. You follow-up and evaluate supplier safety behavior and select safety compliant suppliers.

• Together with the Turn Around Manager, you are responsible for organizing communication and agreements regarding Turn Arounds (TAR) to the contractors to take preventive actions regarding quality, safety and occupancy
• You are responsible for compliance with SHE and ISO guidelines and regulations (ISO 500001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ...).
• You report to the Purchasing Manager Indirect.

Profile

• You have a Master’s degree (economics, engineering) or equal by experience;
• You have at least five years’ experience in contractor management and in the procurement of indirect goods & service contracts;
• You have strong analytical skills and develop a strong business understanding;
• You are a people manager who is able to lead multi-functional teams;
• You have strong influencing and negotiation skills;
• A very good knowledge of Dutch and English is necessary. Knowledge of French is a plus.
• Experience with Lean techniques / Six Sigma methodology is an added value;
• You work fluently with MS Office and SAP;
• You are willing to work from our site at Tessenderlo and travel to our Beek and Mazingarbe sites (10% of your time)
