Mission:

Shape the vision of Proximus’ Digital Transformation and IT department on key technology trends and drive innovation projects to successful implementation with tangible outcome for our customers and internal users.

Key areas in which we seek to drive innovation domans are AI, network softwarization / disaggregation, Sovereign cloud, 5G, IoT…

Job content:

• You report to the Director IT Architecture, Strategy and Program management, but work closely with Chief Digital & IT officer and rest of the management team of the Digital transformation & IT department.
• You take the lead (both on vision development and project management) on key innovation projects – often until the first proof-of-concept is delivered and ready for hand over to product management teams for further industrialization.
• You develop a broad perspective on a variety of technology trends and translate them in concrete recommendations on how Proximus can leverage them.
• You support us in presenting our strategy so that all employees, partners, entrepreneurs ... understand the division’s strategic plan and how it contributes to the general objectives of the company.
• As a trusted advisor, you contribute to the development of a culture of analysis and understanding within the company.
• You present Proximus and/or contributeto innovation workshops with our ecosystem partners or federations (e.g. GAIA-X, ETIS…)
• You study industry trends and market dynamics. You think in scenarios and see patterns in complex situations. You are constantly on the lookout for best practices in other countries and industries. You can disseminate these ideas throughout the organization.

Your Profile

Skills and competences:

• You communicate very effectively, both orally and in writing. You have excellent interpersonal skills.
• You are passionate about technology and innovation and like to challenge the status quo.
• You are passionate about extracting business value from all IT solutions.
• You know how to identify the opportunities thar arise from technological progress and you know how to translate them into concrete plans for Proximus.
• You are focused on the end result and act with determination, but without being arrogant or intrusive. You have a history of successful projects.
• You enjoy working in teams made up of members with very different skills and competencies.
• You work independently within goals and have no problem multitasking in a sometimes rapidly changing environment.

Training and experience required:

• Engineering or management diploma (Master) or equivalent by experience.
• 5 - 10 years of experience in a function involved in strategic files, preferably in management consulting.
• Speak fluent English with at least a good passive knowledge of French or Dutch.
