Overview:

The Supply Chain Manager EMENA (Europe, Middle-East and North Africa) is the link between the customer and our manufacturing department. The primary focus of this position is to lead all aspects related to our logistics chain including import and export related task and planning the total supply chain within the business unit. This impacts overall sales results by ensuring accurate supply/demand planning, driving customer service results and managing the logistics, transport and warehousing costs.

This position is based in Herentals (Belgium).

Responsibilities:
  • Lead all aspects of our supply chain, including storage of raw materials, packaging material and finished goods divided over several warehouses locally and in other countries;
  • Responsible for impacting overall sales results by ensuring accurate supply & demand planning, inventory management, driving customer service results and managing the logistics, transport and warehousing costs;
  • Manage the logistics, warehousing and customer services teams and ensure its budget control, define talents and create/follow a succession plan within the function;
  • Manage a multi-million-euro logistics budget for road, ocean, parcel, warehousing and air freight through rolling out regular RFQ’s and closely following up performance KPI’s.
  • Pro-active communication and stress-resistant decision making in the short term as well as strategic thinking to improve on the longer term;
  • Works closely with all stakeholders (sales teams, manufacturing teams, suppliers) in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Russia;
  • Accountable for the management of our warehouses and the optimization of off-site warehouses.
  • Balancing service levels with inventory costs. Continuous strategic exercise on the localization of local warehouses;
  • Responsible for a safe working environment, especially in the warehouse;
  • Organize/optimize processes and proper planning of resources to assure customer service at required level;
  • Adding value to the overall operations strategy together with the operations team (purchasing, plant manufacturing, etc.);
  • Initiating and leading several optimization projects (e.g. introduction of barcoding, customs software, etc.).
Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION (including licenses, certifications, designations, etc.):
  • Bachelor’s degree

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in relevant logistics environment;
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English, other languages are an asset;
  • Strong leadership skills;
  • Strong people management skills: coach, motivate and engage a team;
  • Thorough understanding of all import and export related regulations;
  • Strong experience with inventories level management;
  • Able to work independently, but acting as a team player;
  • Must have high attention to details and great decision-making skills;
