The PVA (Photo-Voltaic Assembly) Department is looking for a

System Engineer Telesatelite

The System engineer is responsible for assessing systems, determining problems, providing solutions to issues that arise, designing systems, upgrading systems, maintaining systems and brainstorming possible improvements that can be made to a system in the future.

Tasks
  • To be responsible for a (sub-)assembly of system engineering activities required for the development of a solution / product.
  • To understand the customer needs and the solution / product life cycle whatever the means to be implemented.
  • To formalize the description of the mission / function, the architecture and requirements, the specification and development plans for the solution / product.
  • To assemble the elements of the solution / product in a logical and controlled way to evaluate the design, the behaviour’s, the interactions and the performances and to confirm the solution / product is indeed compliant to the design requirements.
  • To demonstrate that the solution / product satisfies the operational needs.
  • To work on development phase of sub-systems or standard small systems.
  • To contribute to specialist and/or architect activities.
  • To evaluate the efforts and planning for activities tasks and justification files work packages.
  • To collaborate with customers, management, quality and production during the development of the product and during the life cycle time of the product.
Profile
  • The candidate shall have a Master degree in mechanics / Electro-mechanics / Electronics,
  • A first background in industry (Manufacturing / Assembling) is a plus,
  • Team player,
  • Curious, creative, problem solver,
  • Logical and reasoning when troubleshooting issues,
  • The candidate shall show good communication skills. Fluency in Dutch or French and English are mandatory.
  • Structured, rigorous, quick-thinking are other key strengths.
