The Talent Acquisition Specialist/HR Business Partner reports into the Belux Affiliate HR Director based in Wavre at the AbbVie Belux Affiliate offices.
Objectives
The TA Specialist/HR Business Partner in the Belux affiliate is responsible for all recruitment activities of the Belgian affiliate and will work on HR projects (external and internal branding, process improvement…) linked to recruitment, onboarding, employee experience… Therefore, this person will operate across multiple departments, driving full-cycle recruiting efforts from requirement definition through to offer negotiation and hire and be involved in ad hoc HR specific projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Build trust and strong partnerships with internal stakeholders such as: BHR, Business leaders, Communications, international TA peers, Total Rewards (C&B), Talent Deployment etc.
- Build trust and strong partnerships with external stakeholders such as recruitment agencies, executive search firms and assessment centres.
- Develop a complete understanding of business objectives and strategy.
- Consult with BHR, Business leaders and functional leaders to understand the needed candidate requirements (skills, background and experience).
- Set and manage expectations of hiring managers and other parties involved.
- Advise on ad-hoc sourcing strategies based on current market knowledge, extensive network and existing internal programs.
- Identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Implement existing structured / competency-based interview questions for all interviews and administer competency based assessments as appropriate.
- Develop and agree on service level agreements/partnerships with external parties (recruitment agencies, assessment parties).
- Manage the company’s Employee Referral Policy and partner with (Senior) Management on building the Talent Pipeline.
- Manage and review employer branding, labour market communication (career website) and possibly advertising.
- Maintain the Applicant Tracking System amending status of candidates as they progress through the recruitment process. Maintain statistics on new hires, reporting to Region on a regular basis.
- Communicate with candidates accordingly via phone or email; provide feedback to candidates who have been unsuccessful or as requested.
- Ensure best practices in recruitment and selection activities are maintained in accordance with company policy, local employment legislation, union agreements, business reorganization, etc.
- Work with global teams on various global TA projects and we local HR team on local HR projects.
