Technology & Quantitative Manager (h/f)

Context

The function is based in Luxembourg preferably but could be in Brussels as well

As a Technology and Quantitative Manager, you will be exposed to a large array of asset classes typically only reserved for the ultra-affluent, such as private equity, private debt, hedge funds, real estate and direct company participations, besides the traditional asset array of mutual funds, stocks and bonds

Missions and responsibilities

• You renew and maintain our consolidated reporting tool:
  • You consolidate financial assets held at multiple custody banks, financial intermediaries or direct in the register of companies and set the automatic API/natural language processing data flows on a regular frequency
  • You set up API’s and/or implement a new software and keep the tool/databases up to date
  • You follow-up and value real estate, private equity funds, direct investments into companies and other alternative assets
• You analyze the market and you propose tools that can either add value to the client or can simplify the internal processes / work of our colleagues
• You optimize and maintain investment analysis processes
• You automatize the current internal processes that require manual input

Profile

• You hold a master’s degree in computer science, engineering or mathematics. Any additional academic background in finance/investments and/or financial accreditation or willingness to attain one is a plus: CFA, CAIA, CQF, FRM …
• You have at least 7 years of professional experience in an IT/development/data management environment at a large multinational, start-up or ideally a banking/asset management/family office environment. Any additional experience in an investment technical & quantitative role is a plus
• Programming experience is a must: Python and VBA are most used, but additional programming skills are certainly advantageous: SQL, R, HTML, C++, Matlab
• You are known for your interpersonal & relationship building skills and you act as a team player with a solution driven mentality who is eager to learn and implement new technological advances
• You demonstrate composure in a tense environment and you can achieve ambitious development targets in an autonomous way
• You are an experienced user of various financial tools such as Bloomberg, Morningstar, Pitchbook and Preqin
• You have a basic knowledge of investment technical concepts and practicalities in both traditional (asset allocation, equities, bonds, gold …) and alternative assets (private equity, private debt, hedge funds, real estate …)
• You are fluent in English and either Dutch or French, any other language is a plus (Spanish, Portuguese, …)
