Test Engineer - Alliance Access

About the RoleIn line with testing standards/procedures and with guidance of a senior engineer, to undertake testing activities of medium complexity related to hardware and software components of SWIFT networks ensuring product quality. You will work in close cooperation with the development team to create test cases, both manual and automated. Education

University degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Experience

2 to 5 years of experience within a development or testing environment; 1 year of experience in testing.

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Test Engineer to join us to boost test coverage, design, execution, effectiveness and accelerate our delivery cycles.

Based in BE, you will be working alongside a dynamic team that is fully responsible for building and enhancing SWIFT’s flagship messaging interface Alliance Access. You will have a unique opportunity to expand your reach in terms of knowledge, network and build your expertise through SWIFT’s software and knowhow.

What to Expect?

• You will have the opportunity to develop yourself and others in a true agile environment.

• Your prime focus will be ensuring the delivered software is fit for a production environment, bearing in mind smooth deployment and operation towards the large customer base.

• You will write and maintain test cases in order to qualify business functionality and systems.

• You will execute test cases, partially automated, partially manually. Focus is given to continuously extend the automation, where possible as per business needs.

• You will set up, maintain, troubleshoot the testing infrastructure (Windows, Linux (RedHat), AIX, Oracle,...)

• You will maintain existing test suites.

• You will engage key stakeholders and other teams, on the status of testing evolution, including more senior team members, the rest of the Squad.

• Degree in Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
• A solid foundation in computer science, with proven competencies in testing and development

Technical skills

• Good knowledge of Java, JUnit, Python
• Knowledge of Windows, Unix/Linux operating systems
• Knowledge of web application test frameworks: SoapUI, Robot Framework,...
• Knowledge of network related technologies: TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, HTTP(S) is an asset
• Knowledge of the Financial sector technologies and business is an asset
• Software development environments and tools such as: Eclipse, IntelliJ, Maven, CLion, CMake, git, etc…
