We are seeking a:


Trade Compliance Specialist

Job Description:

As a Trade Compliance Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic and growing team in-charge of trade compliance topics related to logistics, import and export across various industry verticals. The team is based across Europe servicing customers globally with a focus on the UK and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) regions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Follow up and communicate regulatory changes related to Trade Compliance.
  • Cost savings: In customs duty savings from FTAs, duty incentives and other special programs.
  • Strategic customs management in order to provide guidance to customers on specific customs matters.
  • Audits & Analysis regarding customs representation on behalf of the customers and propose preferential processes optimization.
  • Provide guidance within import and export operations for customers in order to meet regulatory requirements in various industries.
  • Assist customers in projects, such as: BREXIT, HS Classification, Preferential Management, optimizing import / export flows.
  • Requirement for import / export licenses and certificates, such as: PIC, SwissMedic, Dual-Use and End-Use declaration
  • Submit specific reports related to imports /exports to customs authorities and other government agencies in the European Union and EFTA countries.
  • Assign HS codes to product according to the classification rules
  • Follow up on preferential origin calculation and other FTA requirements
  • Regulatory consulting such as, incoterms, restricted party screening, AEO certification etc.
  • Subject matter expertise in training customers.



Job Requirements:


Preferred Skills / Attributes:

  • Strategic Customs experience.
  • Strong knowledge of local, international trading and import / export regulations across EMEA.
  • Openness and ability to adapt to change, proactively seeking continuous improvement and optimization.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Customs or International Trade.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in customs, import and export operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to analyse situations and to make good decisions based on available information.
  • Knowledge in SAP, ERP systems, computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite will be an added advantage.
  • Fluent in English
